Spring is approaching! Delightful weather is here. Not too hot nor cold, just right to renew our daily outings from indoor.to outdoors. Spring is the start of the festival season. I enjoy festivals myself. There are outdoors, full of creativity and community. So here are my picks for March.

Atlanta:

One of my favorite festivals is the Atlanta Science Festival. A wonderful 2 week festival dedicated to science for all ages to enjoy. The festival has daily events culminating in a one day science expo at Piedmont Park. So if your curious or have curious young minds about you, go explore and tantalize your brain or your young ones at this phenomenal event.

March has the Feast of Saint Patrick.There is no better way to celebrate the day than with a parade. Parade are fun and entertaining for everyone. Did you know that Atlanta has had a Saint Patrick day parade since 1858. It’s one of the oldest parades in the nation. Be Irish for the day and partake in this wonderful tradition on March 14, 2026

Macon:

Macon’s Cherry Bloom Festival

Here is a beautiful festival that declares that spring has arrived.This Macon tradition is centered around 350,000 Yishino cherry trees representing “Love, Beauty and International Friendship’’. The event has plenty of entertainment to be enjoyed by everyone. Taking place March 20- 29,2026 come visit The Cherry Blossom Capital of the World.

Off The Beaten Path:

Tales of Edgar Allen Poe should be a spectacular puppet show. The Center of Puppetry puts on amazing performances. Their storytelling through their mastery of puppetry is definitely one to spectate. So if you enjoy the haunting world of Edgar Allen Poe this is a performance you don't want to miss.
