Food, fun, travel, and things worth leaving the house for.

We just went through a cold spell. So we’re probably ready to venture out and experience a few of all the lovely things there are to do. I also believe you would agree with me that there is nothing like live theatre. The incredibly passion and creativity that come through these artists is just amazing to witness. So here are my picks.

Girl From The North Country - Written by Conor McPherson. Music and Lyrics by Bob Dylan. Being performed by Actors Express in partnership with Oglethorpe University Theatre. I have seen performance from both companies and they have been amazingly done.

Performing through March 8,2026

Dual Reality at the Alliance Theater - The show captures your attention and enrolls you with its incredible mixture of storytelling, circus, music and dance. This duo of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and acrobatic show will keep you oohing and aahing throughout the entire show. Fun for a date night or a family outing.

Tales of Edgar Allen Poe should be a spectacular puppet show . The Center of Puppetry puts on amazing performances. Their storytelling through their mastery of puppetry is definitely one to spectate. So if you enjoy the haunting world of Edgar Allen Poe this is a performance you don't want to miss.

Performing from March 17- April 4, 2026

Here is a hilarious play at a great venue., Noises Off at The Focal is a great comic play to see at the performing art center in Forsyth County.
